Where can I buy just GWs Factions
I would like to buy a couple copies of Guild Wars Factions for a couple of friends of mine so that their characters can accompany my new ritualist that I soon will make.
Yes, I know the trilogy would be a much better deal, but I want to just buy Factions for them. If they like the game, they can buy the other campaigns. I would like to buy Factions online, but I am not sure which sellers to trust. I'd prefer to buy it from the NCSoft Online store, but the store doesn't work so well for me since I am currently located in Taiwan. It works from my account, but then it says that I have already purchased the Factions Campaign. Any ideas on how to pay for brand new Factions CD keys without accidentally giving information to what I think is a proper store, but turns out to be a hacker instead? Thanks |

If you are accessing the online store from the game, yes, it will show you have already purchased factions for that acct.
I was able to purchase campaigns to start a second acct by going to the standalone NCSoft Store. |

I have no idea which online shops are in Taiwan, but big shops/sites like Amazon and similar have a multinational network and therefore have a big reputation to loose if somethign does go wrong in the transaction.

Yeah the NCSoft website store (not ingame) should work if you want a copy for a friend unfortunately it's kinda pricy from what I can tell.

One way around the ANet on-line store problem, would be to get the free trial for each friend and have them set up their own accounts with the trial. You could then get them to log in to their own account and you could purchase Factions for them (from within their accounts).
Or perhaps you could do something similar through Steam. |

You can get GW Factions from the NCsoft store or from Steam. If you and your friends have an Steam account, you can send them the game as a gift directly to their accounts.
But, to be honest, you are going to make the WORST DEAL EVER, because: -Guild Wars Factions only: $29,99 (US dollars) -Guild Wars Trilogy: $29,99 (US dollars) I'm not a bussines genious, but as you can see it doesn't have the slightest sence to only buy Factions. You are going to pay exactly the same for 1/3 of the fun the Trilogy pack gives you, plus you are going to force your friends to spend even more money if they want to get the other 2 campaigns. |

You can get a digital copy of the trilogy from Gamestop's website for 15 bucks last I checked.
Edit: Nevermind, it's back up to 29.99. |

Thanks for all the help. Yeah, I guess it would be better to buy the whole trilogy.
However, I wanted my friends to start in Factions as I did because that became my favorite campaign due to starting there, that's all. Plus, my friends (who are from North America) are also currently living in Asia and they are into everything that is Asian, so it's easier to sell them on an Asian style campaign than it is on one of the others. However, the trilogy sounds like a better deal and they will probably want to begin in Faction anyway, so again, thanks for all your help. |
